Beyond plastic\, other pollutants\, including oil\, toxic chemicals\, and heavy metals\, contaminate marine habitats\, threatening 700 marine species and impacting the estimated 3 billion people who depend on marine ecosystems for their livelihoods. With over 90% of coral reefs at risk by 2050 and an estimated $13 billion in annual economic damage\, the severity of ocean pollution cannot be overstated. This event will shine a light on how strategic partnerships and innovative programs can play a pivotal role in mitigating marine pollution and preserving biodiversity. \nEuroCham Singapore\, in collaboration with the German European School Singapore (GESS)\, is thrilled to host this event\, which brings together students and corporate leaders as part of GESS’s award-winning BeyondClassrooms Programme*.
