Webinar: A Pathway to Circular Economy – Mass Balance Approach

May 28 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The world is producing twice as much plastic waste as two decades ago, yet only 9% is recycled. Growing the circular economy – where products and materials are kept in circulation through processes that include reuse, recycling and composting – is needed to stop waste from being produced in the first place and to tackle climate change and other global challenges such as biodiversity loss and pollution.

To fully unlock the potential of a circular economy, we need to find ways to circulate all kinds of materials and substances. Industry is increasingly producing materials that mix both virgin fossil feedstock and renewable or recycled raw material feedstock. Mass balance can be applied to plastics to make it possible to track the amount of renewable and recycled materials in the value chain, and attribute it. These can help to accelerate the transition to a bioeconomy and circular economy.

Join us for an insightful sharing session with the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) organisation, an independent multi-stakeholder initiative and leading third certification system supporting sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation free and climate-friendly supply chains, to learn about mass balance approach.
