The pages of this website and our annual magazine have been more than a mere platform over the last two or so years; they serve as a conduit for our shared human experience, a space for sharing cultures, and a celebration of the multifaceted nature that defines this region and its friends.
This year, as we reflect on the successes and challenges of the past and anticipate the opportunities and hurdles ahead, one theme remains central to our mission: the importance of peace through connection. In an era marked by rapid technological advancements, shifting geopolitical landscapes, and the pressing need for sustainable solutions, the role of diplomacy has never been more critical. Albert Einstein, who is of course best known for his contributions to the scientific community, was also deeply committed to the pursuit of peace—particularly in his later years following World War II. He said that peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.
