Diplomatic Network (Asia) hosted a special movie screening last Friday, which brought together Singapore’s diplomatic community and DNA members for an exclusive evening of entertainment and networking.
The event took place at Cathay Cineplex Jem, located in Jem Shopping Centre, Singapore.
The event, titled DNA Members’ Nite @ the Movies, was organized in collaboration with DNA member and entertainment company mm2 and cinema company Cathay Cineplexes, bringing together movie enthusiasts and members of the network for the evening.
Guests arrived at the venue dressed in their best casual smart attire, eagerly anticipating the screening of the recently released Chinese film, A Legend. This kung-fu comedy, released in Singaporean cinemas on August 2, has been widely praised for its humorous take on the martial arts genre, and it did not disappoint.
Snacks and chats
The film was written and directed by Stanley Tong and stars Jackie Chan, Aarif Rahman , Guli Nazha and Lay Zhang. The movie captivated the audience with its thrilling action sequences and comedic moments, showcasing the best of kung-fu comedy.

The event was more than just a movie night; it was an opportunity for DNA members to connect, share laughs, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere together. This is contrasted by the other, more formal, networking luncheons which are hosted monthly by DNA.
With a fantastic turnout and a movie that delivered on all fronts, DNA Members’ Nite @ the Movies was a resounding success, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting the next gathering.
