In line with the Diplomatic Network (Asia)’s philosophy of connecting the Diplomatic Corps with Singapore’s business community, we held our first networking lunch on Tuesday.
The event took place at the Smoke & Pepper Restaurant located on the 25th floor of hotel Andaz Singapore.
DNA’s first lunch was attended by His Excellency Mehmet Burçin Gönenli, the Turkish ambassador to Singapore; His Excellency Alfonso Valencia, the ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador; and Honorable Ornelia Kayitesi, the first secretary of Economic & Political Affairs at the High Commission of Rwanda in Singapore – all of whom are accredited in Singapore.
Also present were, Charles Leong, the managing director of Pacific Leisure Marketing; Karsten Bezler, the managing director of Betzler Consortium; Rohit Gupta, the business development director of Tasco; and Misizwe Mtshali, the director of South African Wine Cellar.
Mtshali’s South African Wine Cellar sponsored the wines for the occasion which perfectly blended with the day’s meals.
The distinguished guests exchanged business cards and discussed potential business opportunities of their brands across the various countries which were represented at the lunch.
DNA looks forward to hosting more of these events next month.
