Diplomatic Network (Asia)‘s second networking breakfast saw members of the diplomatic corps and Singaporean business community discussing opportunities in the local food industry.
The exclusive event was held on Wednesday in the breakfast room of hotel Intercontinental Singapore.
As usual, DNA’s event was attended by both members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Singapore and by the local business community.
The members of the diplomatic corps who attended included the ambassador of Timor-Leste, Her Excellency Nátalia Carrascalão; HE Antti Vänskä, the Finnish ambassador to Singapore; and Ciro Pérez Silva, who is the second secretary of the Mexican embassy and in charge of the Media & Press office.
From the Singaporean business community, the attendees included the president of the Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association, David Tan, as well as the association’s treasurer, Raymond Ngan. Also present were Asteam Technology Managing Director Tony Goh, whose company is involved in gas and fuel supply. Last but not least, Nele Cornelis, the executive director of the European Chamber of Commerce (Singapore), honoured the event with her presence.
The distinguished guests exchanged conversations about a wide array of business opportunities, with particular emphasis on the local food industry.
All the attendees were invited to join DNA’s network as future members, which will give them opportunities to engage in similar events as well as have their products and services promoted on our various platforms.
The ECC’s executive director, Cornelis, was encouraged to present DNA as a potential means for other European chambers to voice their activities within the Singaporean business community, as well as in the greater ASEAN region.
DNA looks forward to hosting more of these events soon.
