Diplomatic Network (Asia) held September’s DNA networking breakfast on Wednesday at the Breakfast Room of Intercontinental Singapore.

This month’s guest of honour was Thailand’s ambassador to Singapore, His Excellency Chutintorn Gongsakdi, whom DNA had the pleasure of recently meeting.

Gongsakdi, whose term is coming to an end, shared his experience of his tour in Singapore with the rest of the esteemed guests.

Other members of the diplomatic corps who attended included the ambassador of Estonia, HE Turk Priit; Egyptian Charge D’affaires Mohamed Maamoun; and Ashwani Kumar, the first secretary of the Political & Press office at the High Commission of India in Singapore.

Poh shared his experiences of being a part of an educational organisation that deals with foreign countries, through collaboration agreements. Such initiatives contribute to strengthening diplomatic bilateral relations between Singapore and other nations.

The trade arena was represented by Irene Tan, business development director of Century Global, a Singapore-based company involved in the importing and exporting fruits and vegetables; and Sandeep Goel, president of Grupo Kaybee, a multinational company dealing in textiles and consumer goods.

The event was graced with the presence of InterContinental Singapore’s general manager, Andreas Kraemer, and the hotel’s marketing and sales director, Fai Abdullah, who stopped to meet and greet DNA’s breakfast’s guests.

DNA networking breakfast opportunities

All the attendees were invited to join DNA’s network as members. This would allow them to participate in similar events with foreign diplomats and representatives of different chambers of commerce. Moreover, members are afforded the opportunity to engage in conversations that will create business opportunities.

Through the various platforms of DNA, every brand is also able to promote their products and services.

Diplomats were encouraged to make use of DNA’s website and the upcoming print edition to share information about their countries and cultures.

Goodbyes

Finally, DNA wishes Gongsakdi a safe return to the Kingdom of Thailand and we hope to hear more about his diplomatic endeavour.
